Air to Air Source Heat Pumps
An air to air system is principally an air conditioning unit which comprises of an outside unit which collects the heat then this heat is transferred into the inside unit via a refrigerant cycle, the cir in the house is then circulated over a heat exchanger thus warming your house in the winter, it also has the facility of reversing this cycle to cool your house in the summer. This type of system is more popular in offices and industrial applications, but can also be installed in domestic dwellings, an ideal scenario if you have an existing oil or gas warm air unit this could be replaced with a new air to air system using the existing ducting.
Below are some of our installations where we have removed the fossil fuel burner and replaced it with an air to air system.

This is the inside heat exchanger.

This is the heat exchanger in position connected to the existing in and out ducting system.

This is the outside unit the two are connected with pipe work that the refrigerant circulates through.
